Historical Costumes
We make historical costumes across six eras: ancient Egypt, ancient Rome, the Viking age, medieval Europe, the American Wild West, and the Victorian period, in mens, womens, and kids sizing. The accessories come in the pack, so the pharaoh arrives with its headdress and necklace, the sheriff with two holsters, and the knight with a sword and shield.

How to choose your historical costume
Vintage, period, and old-fashioned all point at this same shelf, so start with the era rather than the word. Sizing is where the six diverge: the Egyptian pharaoh and Wild West sheriff run Medium to XXL, the Roman god carries on to XXXL, the Victorian suit runs Medium to XL, the Viking is womens Medium to X-Large, and the knight is cut for ages 4 to 12. One design's range does not carry over to the next, so read the size guide on the product page you are actually buying from. These are multi-piece outfits, a tailcoat over a waistcoat, a toga under a cape, so a measurement that runs short shows up in more than one place. Every costume goes through over 30 measurement checks.
Frequently asked questions
What are historical costumes?
Historical costumes recreate the dress of a past era, such as ancient Egypt, ancient Rome, the Viking age, medieval Europe, the American Wild West, or the Victorian period. If you have seen a costume called vintage, period, or old-fashioned, it is describing the same idea.
What eras of historical costume do you have?
Six: Egyptian, Roman, Viking, medieval, Wild West, and Victorian, each shown above with its own sizes and included accessories.
Are historical costumes only for Halloween?
No. School history topics and stage productions run through the school year, and the knight, pharaoh, and sheriff picks here suit those dates as well as late October.
What sizes do historical costumes come in?
Per design, not per range. The pharaoh and sheriff go Medium to XXL, the Roman god reaches XXXL, the Victorian suit runs Medium to XL, the Viking runs Medium to X-Large in womens sizing, and the knight covers ages 4 to 12. Each product page carries its own size guide, and that is the one to read.
Do you sell vintage-style bathing suits or swimwear costumes?
Not currently. Our historical range covers Egyptian, Roman, Viking, medieval, Wild West, and Victorian looks rather than vintage swimwear.
Can kids wear a historical costume too?
Yes, and one pick on this page is cut for them: the Boys Medieval Knight Costume, ages 4 to 12, sword and shield in the pack. The other five are adult sizing.
